Prevailing Purpose

Welcome! I’m glad you’re here and so thankful that you have taken the time to visit Prevailing Purpose. The name comes from Proverbs 19:21, and my hope is to encourage you with the underlying truth of this scripture.

“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” Proverbs 19:21 (NIV)

As a biblical counselor I am reminded daily of the deep suffering that we all encounter. My job provides me with the opportunity to walk alongside women who are wrestling with difficult situations and listen as they share their heart. But I also have the privilege of encouraging them with truth from scripture and watching the Lord work in their lives to restore hope and healing.

I hope to do something similar here as I share what I am learning through my journey as a wife, mother, counselor, and, most of all, a follower of Christ. My desire is to encourage you to think deeply, study diligently, and trust wholeheartedly that through every trial or failure God is near to your broken heart. Whether in this life or the next, his purpose prevails.
